Where can I see an example of some explosion code for the new versions of AGD?,I am just working on the death routine for a top-down game and when the player is hit I want them to rotate clockwise three times (four direction sprites X 3) then explode using the EXPLODE partical feature.I have just inserted for example EXPLODE 20 to see what happens and at I see a few pixels drop from the upper left corner but only on the final life (I presume because I did not denote character position at contact and have not created a delay to display the explosion before the screen is cleared) Thanks Jj

Did you put the EXPLODE command in a sprite event?
There's some example code in Tea and Sympathy, just load the file into AGD 4.4 and take a look at the sprite events.

I put the code in the Kill player area where by default I think the original code was Sound 4 Fade Deplete lives - 1 etc
I will load up T&S and check out the code
