so using AGD I created a very basic game, but I'm lost on the saving of the game and the loading in of it standalone. I use Spectaculator and I can see it has created the game byes in the emulators cassette recorder, but i'm at a loss now what to do or how to save it as a .tzx/.tap. Can someone please post up an idiots guide please? much thanks in advance!

Creating .tap files is something most emulators do, or at least the ones I have used have done. It has been a long while since I used Spectaculator so am not terribly familiar with it, but is there some sort of tape menu somewhere?
On Spin, for example, you select Recording->Tape Recording->Insert Tape For Saving, then choose your filename. You save your game in AGD and select Recording->Tape Recording->Eject Save Tape.
Perhaps someone else knows how Spectaculator's menus are set up?

Hi sal, i use Spectaculator too and i perfectly understand what's the need... Many people here come from BASIC programming and/or remembrances of the original machines; EMULATORS are simple to use - IF you well understand how their virtual tape recorder works along with the emulator functions. Please enter the Arcade Game Designer group on Facebook, i'll be happy to explain the steps.
