Hi.
This time I wanted to make a game when the hero can explore the "world" freely, walking from one screen to another, and going back, and so on.
The problem is, the sprites he "ate" come back when he goes back to previous screen. I would like them to disappear permanently.
Is it possible to do?
Thx, Y

For this - I tend to spawn sprites using an empty sprite image, then change the sprite image to suit - this has 2 benefits... 1) The image can be changed randomly, to give random enemies, and 2) If you use the putblock command, you won't get corrupted graphics because the sprite contains no graphics. Anyway - when you spawn a sprite, check to see if it has that blank image, and check to see if it is standing on a custom block. If it isn't, set the column and line to Y and X, divide them each by 8, and putblock any block that is set to custom. If the sprite spawns and there's a custom block there and the image is still that blank one - then just remove the sprite, it's already been taken care of. If you use a blank sprite image and a custom block, then you shouldn't even see the sprite spawn, it will just never show up (visually)on a screen re-entry. You can of course use this for doors, object spawns etc etc - it's the most useful thing you can do with a custom block

Hi, If this is any use for others; for a simple collectible object that once picked up or eaten doesn't re-spawn when you come back to that room, you can use objects/detect obj/get obj - www.youtube.com/watch?v=faYeO8yP5pMCheers, LW.
