Hi All,
I hope someone can help me with this as I cannot seem to find the answer.
I am working on my first game for the ZX Spectrum using MPAGD and whilst progress is a little slow, I have managed to figure most things out so far with the help of the manual and the excellent tutorials that are around. I have hit a problem that I cannot resolve though.
On one of my screens I have a Pitchfork which needs to be collected to be able to get past some straw bales. The pitchfork is an object and the straw bales are fodder blocks. I have figured out how to make the straw bales only removeable if you are carrying the pitchfork and I have also figured out how to reset the bales if you die on the screen. What I cannot figure out is how to put the Pitchfork back in the same room after a player death event.
I can leave the Pitchfork (object) in the players inventory after death and the level restarting, but I would prefer to have it reset so it needs to be collected again so as not to make the level far easier.
Any help would be appreciated.

I have also just realised that if you die before collecting the Pitchfork (object) then when the screen restarts it disappears.

What you can do is add this in EVENT KILLPLAYER assuming your object is OBJ0, the startscreen is screen 5 and the location is 100,50
EVENT KILLPLAYER
LET A SCREEN LET SCREEN 5 PUT 100,50,0 LET SCREEN A
