Any chance that PGD will be 128k? I would like to have more k's available for making rooms/tiles/etc.
Funny thing is that this was the only thing* I was hoping for in PGD2 but then hear that it's a mixture of PGD and AGD.
Not that I'm complaining at all, just I had different expectations obviously. I had always seen AGD being a different enough package that it would continue along its own line of thought rather than bleed over to PGD.
Again ... I'm absolutely not complaining ;D
*well, aside from the conveyor tile from PGDL, I wished that were in PGDE also :-(

AGD now uses the 128k memory to provide more features and more memory for 48k games. I don't see it being able to make 128k games unless it becomes a stand alone package for use on a PC.

Although external IDE (e.g for PC) would free 100% mem available for coding, I think it's quite possible to have *almost* 128KB version minus some 30KB for the IDE which could provide some 90KB for game itself--more than feasible.
BUT it would render it somewhat undercooked software--no longer compatible with 48K version, nor a real 128K yet. Sure, it's almost twice-thrice big as 48Kb version, but without decent compression (usually at expense of the speed) and some modular approach it still would have rather many drawbacks.

AGD as a stand-alone package for a PC?!... Wow, hope to see such a thing in the near future... Its programming engine could finally be independent from the Speccy keyboard... and probably have its own Spectrum/CPC built-in emulator! Let's wait and see...
