To have more control over the colours of a sprite. A modified SPRITEINK command, or a new command (ie. SPRITEINKQ) to change the sprite colour in one of the four quadrants (8x8 pixel areas) of a sprite. For example, the following code in a sprite event would change the top left of the sprite to white, the top right to red, the bottom left to blue, and the bottom right to green (The first parameter would be the quadrant number, and the second would be the colour):
SPRITEINKQ 1 7 SPRITEINKQ 2 2 SPRITEINKQ 3 1 SPRITEINKQ 4 4
This could be used in conjunction with the current SPRITEINK command to change all of the sprite to, say, green, and then change only one other part to white:
SPRITEINK 4 SPRITEINKQ 1 7
