Its the 5th (INK 4) pen that causes the block editor text to display in the wrong place

Yes, I'll go along with that. Moving the cursor around in the palette editor looks to be corrupting certain areas in RAM.
I'll have an update ready tomorrow. Thanks for your help in finding this.
