I'm not asking for hints or even code here, but I'm wondering. AGD is a superb tool but is it capable of creating games like these:-
1: Scramble (Arcade) (horizonal scrolling game with shooting and bombing?) 2: Missile Command (Arcade) (static screen but lines/missiles dropping?) 3: Dig Dug (Arcade) (moving around static screen digging the earth away?) 4: Text Adventures (like The Hobbit, Twin Kingdom Valley?)
5: Jumping Jack (Imagine-ZX Spectrum) Multiple scrolling platforms with holes that move up/down.
(I'm still very much learning the software but I don't want to even start attempting things that aren't possible)
Thank you

Hi,
In my limited experience I would say that AGD is capable of the following:
1: No - unless you changed to flip-screen. 2: No - Something similar could be created, but not identical. 3: Yes 4: No - Text parsing is not available. You might be able to manage a *very* simple graphical adventure using the keyboard for N, S, E, W, etc, but you only have access to seven keys, and each screen would need to be created from blocks. 5: Yes - I have part completed my own version of Jumping Jack. I may even get round to finishing it this decade!
Hope this helps.

A Missile Command style game is possible with MPAGD although it might have been a lot more challenging with the original native Spectrum and Amstrad versions.
