Hello Zartan,
when you are using the ZX Suite, you don't have to import the game in the emulator. a tape file named test.tap is created and copied to the emulator directory ... These steps are done by the suite:
- Compile AGD file to ASM source file - Assemble ASM file to TAPE file - Start emulator with TAPE file
This means that Sjasmplus directly creates a TAPE file. rem Assemble game cd ..\sjasmplus copy leader.txt+%1.asm+trailer.txt agdcode.asm sjasmplus.exe agdcode.asm --lst=list.txt copy test.tap ..\speccy
Jonathans video's are made without using the suite.
Greetings Kees

Probably the wrong Spectrum model is choosen. When this screen opens, select Hardware->Computer model->ZX Spectrum 48KB and close the Speccy emulator. Now try again to build your AGD file. The test.tap file is erased when the batch file is ended. You can put a REM instruction in the BUILD.BAT batch file before deleting test.tap ...... rem Start emulator cd ..\speccy speccy test.tap rem del test.tap <---------- cd ..

thank you oss003 it worked! Im not going to add any code as thats new to me and im still trying to figure out my way around- is there a video/link to know which settings work best for each export option (amstrad/dragon/etc) it's a powerful feature it can export to many computers (c64 in future i hope!!). Are there any modern methods to save the games to tape cassette thatd work for each system? well, keep on gaming! zartan917.itch.io sabbathseventhday.net/

Hi Zartan, glad it worked for you. For the suites, the emulators are included and set to work for AGD. The output can be different eg. tape, disk or a binary file and that's depending on the emulator for that platform. Every platform has is own compiler/engine/assembler and the only general file is the AGD file. Until now, there's no C64 port ....... so if you know people who are interested in writing one ....... I'm always willing to help. Greetings Kees
