I have a basic platform game and i'm having some issues with colour.
I set the colour of my ladders blocks in the blocks editor and of course my player sprite is set a different colour.
When the game starts the ladders turn white ink on black background and so does my player sprite, neither are set to those colours.
Any idea whats going on?

Hi. I'm not very adept at AGD, but it sounds like something that happened to me too. Have you checked the colour of block 0? The colour of your sprite will be defined by the fill colour of this block. Or perhaps your problem is different. If you could give more details ...

Block 0, Sprite 0 and Sprite 1 are all set to the same INK and PAPER settings of black paper with bright yellow ink.
Sprite 0 on screen is bright white as is sprite 1

Well, I know that the ink colour of block 0 sets the colour of the sprites (of course, if you don't use the Sprite Ink command). What version of AGD are you using anyway?
