Choose an unused sprite type and you'll be presented with a menu of default scripts. Choose from platform, ladders-and-levels or Cybernoid controls for the player, bouncing aliens or patrolling horizontal JSW/MM baddies, and static collectables. Select one and start amending it to suit your needs. Or you can just code your own from scratch. Oh, there's a new BEEP command for beeper effects. It's probably more of a chirp, starting low and increasing in frequency. Its argument is the duration of the sound effect. Other additions since V2.7 include <=, > and <> operators, MENU and INV commands for drop-down menus, a scratchpad screen in the sprite editor, the option to create a BASIC loader and a font editor.
