Hello, i am new to the Forum, and want to say hello Iam using the CPC Version of AGD (1.4), because i want to do it with the CPC, and not only for the CPC... I know there are limitatsions, but it works so far. But now iam stuck. I want to place objects. But i cant. I create an object, with screen number 01 and want to place this collectable item (a key) with the "P"-Key. I set the place where it have to be, press "Return" an get back to the Object Editor, but the Object ist not in the Game, when testing with X. Maybe iam missing sth. or i do sth. wrog. But i can not place an object in the Map. Can someone point me in the right direction, or are objects not possible or buggy in this Version? Or do i have to put in a piece of code to get the object visible? And another question, are there sample codes or other manuals with examples für the 1.4 (or the Speccy Version 3.5, as i understand the CPC Version is build around the "normal" Version 3.5) or Code ifrom different games i can view in the AGD Editor, to read an learn about the code? Thanks for your help Bye Juergen

Hi Jürgen,
of course you should use MPAGD, but when you insist to use AGD for the CPC...do it ;-) Have you changed the START value to the room? You can change it with q and w in the object menu.
Best regards
Sebastian

Something similar happened to me, and I solved it using the PUT command. Although in my case, I was using MPAGD; I guess in standard AGD it has to be something like this: IF SCREEN = number of screen LET LINE x LET COL y PUT object number ENDIF I hope you solve it. All the best! P.S. I think the PUT command is also used in AGD... my only neuron is making me doubt...

Hello, thank you for your reply But i get it how it works. In the object Menu (O) you paint the object an set the Object number. I use 0 for the first object. And then define the Screen on which it should apear, eg. 0 also. Press "P" -> So my Version is buggy here. I only get a blank screen without the Screen Layout. Only Screen 1-253 are showing my Layout. So on the "blank" screen 0 i set the objetct with Return. Get back to "Test Game" and voila the Object is where it should be. With the "PUT %ObjectNumber%" (eg. Put 0) command you set the Object directly on the Sprite Position. That means it is for dropping Objects on a sprite position at the time the "Put" is given. It is usable when you defeat an Enemy-Sprite, so it can drop an Object after Disapearing (Remove). (It ignores the Line and Column in my tests) Thank you for your help
