If you use the BEEP, then it is no longer possible to include BORDER. More precisely it is activated at once briefly blink and all... Jonathan, can this be corrected? (sometimes need a BORDER)..

You're right, BEEP sets the border colour to black.
It's easy enough to fix, but requires a change to the engine so I've made a note in the source to change it in the next major update.

It will be included when I next change the engine, maybe 4.6? I don't know for sure yet.
The problem is that fixing this issue would increase the size of the engine and make the new version incompatible with previous ones. So anyone who had been writing a game with a previous version would not be able to edit it with the new one.
It makes more sense to wait until several changes like this are required and put them all in together to minimise disruption.
