Hello everyone! SETO TAISHO VS YOKAI, my new game for the 128K ZX Spectrum, is out today. It is a platform game where you, as Seto Taisho, the "Crockery General" of Japanese folk tradition, must battle against the Yokai, the monsters and goblins of Japan, in an effort to liberate the country from their overwhelming presence - which Seto itself contributed, with its misuse of magic, to unleash. Features:- Three levels of 12 screens each, plus a boss screen for each one of them and a bonus screen
- 9 enemies, 3 bosses and 1 bonus character
- A different background music for each level
- SetoLOAD, a new turbo loading scheme, specially devised for the game
- Game and manual in five different languages: Italian, English, German, Spanish, Portuguese
- Secrets and surprises for you to discover
- More file formats than you can shake a (chop)stick at
Download it (cassette inlay cards available separately for each language) from the web page hosted on my website: www.alessandrogrussu.it/seto.htmlHave fun with the Yokai!

Looks great! - been a while since I had a new speccy game to play.
Maybe it's just my mind, but I could swear one of those sprites was flashing her boobs.

Thank you Andrew About that sprite... yes it's the Nuppeppo, it appears like a sort of grotesque, fat human figure - in fact, according to Japanese traditional lore, it's made with rotting flesh! You can also see it in the game cover art and loading screen. Now, I actually walked around a Japanese cemetery at nightfall - namely Okunoin, the large and monumental one in the holy city of Koya, during my trip to Japan in 2008. But I found none of such monsters

Update: A small mistake in one of the Japanese writings in the game has been corrected. This modification is purely cosmetic and does not affect gameplay.

Hi folks, in order to promote the forthcoming cassette tape compilation of Sophia/Sophia II from Monument Microgames, me and Graham Richards agreed to make Seto Taisho To Kazan freely downloadable. You can download it from my website (link is almost at the bottom of the page). Also notice that the "ULA Plus" bug of AGD, which made both games be displayed in false colours under certain configurations (e.g. the ZX Vega), has been fixed. Enjoy, and stay tuned for more news!
