Hello all. Hope everyone is doing well?
I am having a few issues with sound. Using the sound generator inside AGD. The sounds I generate using this option when placed in the game do not always sound the same. Also they can sound different from screen to screen.
Additionally when starting the game sometimes I have a whole bunch of random sounds that play for a few seconds then stop. This is not constant and seems to vary. Sometimes not happening at all.
Any help with this will be gratefully received.
Note: For a walking sound for my main character say I only play the sound on the second frame of four so it's not trying to replay the sound before it has finished.
Thank you.

Like a music tune. It happened to me too (in my first game). But it's only in a .szx file (maybe .z80 and .snp does the same). The reason i don't know... What i know is when you finish your work and make a .tap, that strange "symphony" disappear... The sounds you are talking about is the ones can be made in AGD and their command is SOUND, right? Not the beep sonds... If you don't use it (by pressin "I" in AGD menu and select AY Sounds: OFF), you don't have that problem. You have to try create a .tap (even if your game is unfinished) just to see if that sound problems disappear.

I've had this happen, and it makes me anxious I've corrupted something somewhere along the line, and the weird beeping is a remnant of that. I had a lot of beeps on something that eventually showed it had been corrupted elsewhere, but that's just correlation not proof. I hadn't noticed it only happened with AY sounds, though. Hmmn. Curious.

Thank you zaynaps2017. I will indeed give that a try. I didn't feel it was anything major to worry about at the moment but would need solving.
The problem of sounds sounding different on different screens is still an issue. It maybe to do the way I am implementing them. Timing, amount of sprites on screen, playing one sound with next still going. There could be many reasons. I will be paying more attention to the sound when I have my game either along.
Hi Aleisha, I have had this random noise on starting happen with a virtually empty game code and only one test screen. Also randomly in each test game I have done with seemingly no obvious cause It does not seem to have caused any issues with any of the games themselves so far. It has just been an annoying cacophony at the start of running the game that disappears after a few seconds.
Thank you all.
