Hi everyone.
I've been having fun with MPAGD. It's a great package!
I would like to ask about sound effects and music. For me, a game lives or dies with it's music, or at the very least is a big part of the experience. Having the ability to load in tunes would be a massive boost for games!
Sound effects too are something that need more attention. I haven't attempted to add any as yet, but doesn't look a straightforward process. The Speccy seems fairly well supported from what I can gather, at least for effects, but unsure about Amstrad. I got hold of Beepola last night which looks promising for tunes, but as far as I can tell it is Spectrum based, so probably not going to work with Amstrad?
Can we expect any updates in this regard at any point? Are there any other programs which could help?
I think I've read that the FM sound chip on 128k Spectrums is not reliable with MPAGD, so you only use Beep commands. As far as I'm aware the Amstrad only supported FM sounds?
So many questions... Better sound support is the biggest issue I see so far as far as potential issues goes.
Thanks for your attention.
Edit - Noticed the SOUND command, it doesn't crash, but nothing plays. Is this Spectrum only?
