I am having serious issues. Jumping is jerky, the character gets stuck on walls, cannot jump properly, lands on nothing in mid-air. I have checked the screen layout there are no bad tiles. There are no other sprites or objects on the screen. Just 1 instance of type 0 sprite. I have tried different collision distances. Nothing is helping.
Literally all I have in Event 0 is this:
fall if key 0 animate jump endif if key 3 if cangoright let image = 0 animate spriteright endif endif if key 2 if cangoleft let image = 1 animate spriteleft endif endif

To me it sounds more like the screen memory is being corrupted - when this happens, I look for things like sprites that go off the screen... but I've only used the ZX version of AGD and don't have any real experience with the CPC - I'm assuming though that the CPC would have the same or similar issues with corruption.
I see nothing wrong with your code, I'm sure the problem must be something else, or a corrupted project... I think we've all lost projects to corruption unfortunately... save often, save incrementing versions, and re-load after testing - not a good idea to test then save, because you might be storing corrupted memory.

This happens when there is not enough memory to AGD. Try increasing the memory(erase anything on the screens)
